Maimonides Infants and Children’s Hospital

Commissioned by the Chairman of Maimonides Infants and Children’s Hospital, Coen Projekts created an expansive environmental expression on two units within a state-of-the art new facility designed by Perkin+Wills Architects. The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, theme of marine life and aquatics, incorporates large murals, glass portals into patient rooms, with quotes translated into many different languages, reflecting the diverse community which the hospital serves. The NeoNatal Intensive Care Unit theme of the galaxies and the deep waters incorporates quotes drawn from poets and mythologies exploring the passage of life.
