YOUR HOUSE IS MINE

YOUR HOUSE IS MINE, Book + Street Project, was conceived in response to the heated climate around housing, homelessness, gentrification and the AIDS epidemic in New York City, 1988. Visual artists, writers, + illustrators were invited to participate in this project as an act of resistance. Prominent artists involved: David Wonjarowicz, Martin Wong, Juan Sanchez, Lee Quinones, Lady Pink, David Hammons + others.

Co-conceptualized + curated by Nadia Coen and Andrew Castrucci. Design: Nadia Coen

33 original signed silkscreened prints + offset writings, Mohawk paper, bound in lead (edition of 150), 20”h x 23”w, 15lbs. Additional edition of 100 silkscreen posters printed on lightweight paper and plastered on NYC streets + cities in the US and Europe as a protest street art urban intervention.

Acquired + exhibited by many national + international museum, such as MoMA, The Whitney Museum of Art,
The Guggenheim, Library of Congress, Rare Book Division, Pompidou, France, Stedelijk Museum, Holland
+ others.
